2025 Client Survey: Helping us do more for you
At TaxAssist Accountants, our promise is simple: ‘We can do more for you’. Every year, we ask our clients for feedback to ensure we continue to deliver on that promise and to understand how we can continue to improve. In September 2025 we surveyed our clients to understand their needs and concerns.
94% of clients would recommend us
We’re proud to share that an incredible 94% of those who replied said they would recommend TaxAssist Accountants to a friend. This level of trust reflects the dedication of our accountants to provide exceptional service and support to small businesses, landlords and self-employed individuals across the UK.
And it doesn’t stop there. 84% of clients rated the service they received as 8, 9 or 10 out of 10. This shows that not only do our clients trust us enough to recommend us, but they also consistently rate our service as excellent.
Listening to your challenges
Our survey isn’t just about measuring satisfaction – it’s about understanding the challenges you face and how we can help. The results from our latest survey highlights the urgent pressures facing the UK’s small and medium-sized businesses (SMB) sector. The findings show that while businesses see their biggest opportunities for growth in the next three years as “entering new markets or customer segments” and “enhancing their customer experience and loyalty”, only 10% of those who completed the survey described themselves as growing, with constraints identified as rising costs, cashflow challenges and administrative burdens. Here’s what you told us:
- Cashflow pressures remain the number one challenge for small businesses (29% of respondents).
- Cost of living and energy prices are a close second (27%).
- Tax and compliance requirements continue to be a major concern (26%).
- Other key challenges include growth and scaling (24%) and keeping pace with digital and technology changes (15%).
Making Tax Digital (MTD) support
With 53% of clients unsure about MTD and nearly half (48%) wanting full support, we know this is an area where we can make a real difference. Your priorities, our focus
You also told us what would make the biggest difference to your business:
- Simpler rules and paperwork (48%).
- Cutting business taxes and reducing unnecessary regulations (60%).
- Better access to affordable finance (14%).
Looking ahead
Our commitment to doing more for you doesn’t stop here. Based on your feedback, we’re exploring ways to:
- Offer more tax and business advice (requested by 35% of respondents).
- Provide regular financial reviews and health checks.
- Improve support with digital tools and software.
- Expand access to additional services such as HR, legal, and finance solutions.
