Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Accounting Technician (Semi-Senior Role) located in Streatham, London. In this role, you will be responsible for:
Managing accounting tasks for our clients including bookkeeping and preparing VAT returns
Preparing accounts for sole traders and limited companies
Completing and submitting personal and corporation tax returns
Managing, organising and updating relevant data using database applications, and where applicable, managing certain payroll administration tasks
Communicating and liaising verbally and in writing between clients/visitors/enquirers; interpreting and responding clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions
Plus other duties consistent with the grade as directed.
Qualifications
At least 2-3 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping in a practice environment
AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part-qualified, or qualified by experience
Basic knowledge of UK tax rules and regulations
Advanced proficiency with TaxCalc and accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise tasks efficiently
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Positive attitude with willingness to learn and grow professionally
