Where are your offices?
We have over 375 locations across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. To be put in touch with your local office please contact us on 0800 0523 555 or enquire online and we will be happy to help you.
Who do you help?
We provide services to personal taxpayers, self-employed individuals, partnerships, company directors and property landlords. Our services are tailored to you and your needs. You will find more information about who we help here.
I am looking for a price, what are your fees?
In order to provide you with a quotation, we can arrange a free, no obligation, consultation with you to discuss your individual needs so that you only pay for the level of support that you require. This allows us to best understand your needs and provide a tailored quotation for you. From this meeting we will provide you with a fixed fee quote that we both agree to and you will then know exactly what you are paying for the services we provide. Our clients tend to prefer to pay monthly which is an option we can discuss in the meeting.
We clearly explain our work clearly and are happy to act as business advisors in order to help you grow your business.
Do I need to meet with you?
In order to provide you with a quote we would like to hold a consultation with you, either through a video call, telephone call or in person, depending on your preference. The consultation we offer is free, with no obligation and is an opportunity for our accountant to better understand your circumstances, advise how they can help and provide you with a tailored fixed fee for the services you require. Many of our clients will review our consultation on Trustpilot and share their experience with other so you can see the value in meeting with one of our accountants.
What happens at a consultation meeting?
The free consultation is an informal chat to get to know you and find out more about the help you are looking for. The meeting, whether it is virtual or in person, is typically 30-45 minutes long but it can be as long as you need.
Your meeting will be held with a local accountancy expert. First, we’ll have a chat to find out a bit about you and for you to get to know us. We’ll then drill down into a bit more of the detail about the support you need and talk you through the options that are available to you. We understand that meeting with an accountant can be new ground for many, so we’ll guide you through the process and answer any questions you might have – no question is a silly question! Once we understand the level of support you are looking for, we will then provide you with a quotation. We want to work with you so you will be meeting with a friendly accountant who is looking to support you and be a part of your business.
How much do you charge?
Our fees are fixed and tailored specifically to each individual's needs. We offer a free consultation to every customer in order to assess the accountancy and tax work that is required, discuss the possible tax savings available and answer any questions you may have. Once we have held a consultation with you, we will provide a quotation. This quotation stands for 3 months.
How do I switch accountants?
We make switching to TaxAssist Accountants as easy as possible and it is easier to switch than you may think. There are no tax implications and you can switch at any time of year. For details of how we guide you through the switching process click here.
Can I chat to an accountant online?
We are unable to hold a consultation on our Livechat service. However, we are happy to talk to you on our Livechat service to book a video, telephone or in person consultation at a local office for you. Once you become a client and wish to deal with us remotely then we will be happy to work with you in any way you prefer.
I have a quick tax or accounting question, can you help?
If you are a client of TaxAssist Accountants, our local teams are on hand to answer any questions that you may have.
Unfortunately, if you are not a client of TaxAssist Accountants, we are not able to answer specific tax and accountancy questions. In order to assist you further we would offer you a free, no obligation meeting with a local accountant to find out more about how we can assist you and provide a quotation for our services.
I operate a charity, can you help?
Due to the slightly more complex needs of charities, many of our offices are unable to support charities with their tax and accountancy needs. If you would like to contact our team on 0800 0523 555 or online here [link], we can inform you of the nearest office we have available to you that supports charities or, if we do not have a local office to you, we can refer you to an accountancy firm that we are partnered with.
Am I due any tax back?
If you believe you may be due a tax refund and you would like an accountant to process a claim on your behalf, please contact our team on 0800 0523 555 or enquire online to discuss how we may assist you and provide a quotation.
If you are a client, we will proactively keep you informed of any tax saving opportunities available to you.
If you are not a client of TaxAssist Accountants and wish to submit a tax refund claim yourself, you can do so by contacting HM Revenue & Customs
