AAT Apprentice Accountant

Based in Leicester East.

We help a diverse range of small businesses including start-ups, sole traders, limited companies and landlords who operate in many industries.

The successful candidate will be expected to assist, and be trained to:

1. Complete bookkeeping and VAT on spreadsheets, VT, and Sage,

2. Accounts Production

3. Self Assessment Tax Return completion.

4. Payroll completion.

5. Dealing with clients and the public by phone/face to face/email.

The candidate will be a

1. Self Starter who uses their initiative, and looks to "go the extra mile." High service levels are paramount.

2. Confident in dealing with colleagues, clients and the public

3. AAT ideally have completed at least level 1.

Job Description:

 

Bookkeeping

Bank Reconciliations

Processing and preparation of VAT Returns

Preparation of simple Taxation Computations

Obtain full knowledge and use of the accounting system

Dealing with scanning, incoming and outgoing post

Processing Invoices

Dealing with incoming email in connection with queries

Daily electronic filing as appropriate to your work

Entering data onto spreadsheets

Maintain the highest level of service and a quick response time to all incoming enquiries

To identify where new skills can be acquired and existing skills improved

To conform to a standard of personal conduct including appearance and behaviour as designated and appropriate

To attend internal or external training courses as directed

Completion of Accounts & other duties as required.
