London is the 'best business city in the world'

Individuals looking to start a business in the UK could be encouraged to consider London as a location after one industry commentator described the capital as "the best business city in the world".

Iain Smith, a spokesperson at London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, claimed that setting up a business in the city allows enterprises to attract top talent and access the skills required to thrive.

"London is not only the best city in the country - it is the best business city in the world, really," he commented.

"I think businesses like having other businesses around, because you can kind of feed off their creativity and not use other companies' talent, but there is a constant buzz of entrepreneurial activity that feeds into what you're trying to do at your business."

The comments come after Officebroker.com claimed that better transport links, a more professional environment and the forthcoming Olympic Games make London "the place to be" for businesses.
