HMRC announces new business events

HMRC is to hold a series of advice events for businessesSmall business owners could be among those to benefit from a new series of events to be staged by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).

Along with a host of other organisations, including the Health and Safety Executive and Business Link, HMRC is to offer free advice to businesses on a range of topics including VAT changes and regulations regarding self-employment.

Roger Lovell, from the department's Business Liaison Team, said: "HMRC's Business Advice Open Days bring together the expertise of a wide range of organisations under one roof."

"They're free, you can drop in any time, and the feedback from people who attend them is that they're really worth a visit … so, if there's one coming to a town or city near you, make a date in your diary."

Events will get underway at Kelham Hall in Newark on Wednesday March 3rd and will take in a number of stops before the final event at the Stadium of Light football ground in Sunderland on July 1st.
