Survey highlights expectation of employee turnover

A survey has highlighted the number of UK-based employees who expect to change to another employer over the next 12 months.

According to the findings of a study by GfK NOP, out of every three UK employees, one expects to be changing their job within a year, reports Personnel Today.

Indeed, the study found that 17 per cent have every intention of leaving their current job at the earliest possible moment.

"These results make worrying reading for employers. However, the good news is that often simple methods of engaging and rewarding employees can go a long way to enhancing satisfaction and improving loyalty," said Sukhi Ghataore, associate director at GfK NOP Employee Research.

A total of 12 per cent of employees have the intention of changing employers within a year.

GfK NOP operates within a number of different sectors, including consumer services, social research and healthcare.
